We are focusing on
what is good for the world

Our Sustainability Strategy

FCS

Environmental Footprint, Product Design and Social Responsibility are the three main areas that we monitor and measure our progress towards a more sustainable future. With defined targets and deadlines, we aim to improve our metrics in each category while continuing to serve to a wider range of customers worldwide.

Environmental Footprint

While we focus on minimising our waste and energy use in product development, testing, manufacturing, packaging and shipping, we also record and monitor our CO2 emissions. Our current Environmental targets are shown below;

10% Waste Reduction
per kg production manufactured between 2016-2026

10% Electricity Reduction
kWh/per kg manufactured between 2016-2026

Continuous CO2 Monitoring

Target Net Zero

As being part of the FGN group, we are working towards calculating our Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions.

In addition, we are committed to reach Net Zero by 2050 as being a member of the British Coatings Federation.

Product Design

We develop ideas. We develop coatings.

This motto has always been the core of our product development, pushing our boundaries to create formulations that support reduced energy consumption and waste at manufacturing and application stages, helping alleviate our overall environmental impact.

With support and guidance from a leading Carbon Solutions Company, we are completing a full audit of our CO2 emissions by the 2nd quarter of 2024, and will continue to monitor and reduce our carbon footprint as we develop new formulations.

As part of our ongoing efforts towards a more sustainable future, we have started to actively engage with our suppliers to be able to accurately calculate our Scope 3 emissions.

In addition to adhering to the international standards governing our industry, all our products undergo a series of rigorous quality control tests that ensure consistent application and field performance.

In order to assure the long-term visual and mechanical performance of our coatings, FCS heavily invested in its manufacturing and testing equipment in the recent years, as well as developing specific quality control methods which amalgamate cutting-edge technologies with the traditional skills of FCS’ Chemists and Colour & Effect Experts.

FCS is accredited to ISO9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 Quality, and ISO14001:2015 Environmental Standards. 5S methodology has been implemented throughout our manufacturing operations, establishing a leaner and safer production environment.

Social Responsibility

FCS Teams

Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of our belief in quality.

We always strive to be an organisation with integrity, trusted and respected by our local and international partners.

We promote product safety and protect the environment in which we conduct our activities, by carrying out our operations responsibly. We believe that a healthy work environment allows Our People to reflect their visions to be able to meet the demands of tomorrow.

We value and invest in Our People whose diverse backgrounds and ideas safeguard a sustainable future for our company, society and environment. We enhance our working environment by respecting diversity and human rights, defending equal opportunity and rejecting discrimination.

We work with our Suppliers and Customers to promote these common aims.
